I have been honoured to receive the Grand Cross of the Order of the Holy Cross of Saint Leo. The Order is a dynastic order of the noble O’Halloran sept, and is conferred by Mar Tomas, Errenagh of the Abbeys of Saint Leo and Saint Colman on the Islands of Inishark and Inishbofin, Connemara, County Galway, in the Republic of Ireland. The honour reflects my own close family connections with Ireland as well as my deep regard for the Celtic Christian heritage.
